Samuel c. Remcho, PRESIDENT
Sam Remcho joined St. Regis Properties in 2013 and is responsible for the firm’s development activities with a primary focus on projects in the Western United States. Prior to St. Regis Properties, Sam was an Associate at Cornish and Carey where he advised institutional and private investors on acquisition, asset management, and disposition strategies. Additionally, Sam co-founded Selborne Properties, a San Francisco Bay Area based residential brokerage and management company. Sam is a licensed California Real Estate Broker, an Instrument Rated Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot, and a Volunteer Firefighter. Sam holds a Bachelor of Arts in U.S. History from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
david J. demoss, vice President
David J. DeMoss joined St. Regis Properties in 2014, and currently oversees the company’s asset management activities as well as participates in the sourcing and due diligence of acquisition opportunities. Prior to joining St. Regis Properties, David spent thirteen years at RREEF/Deutsche Asset and Wealth Management where he served as Vice President in the Portfolio Management group. There he assisted in the launch and management of the company’s flagship value added domestic REIT. David began his career as a market analyst in the San Francisco brokerage office of Cushman Realty Corporation, a leading real estate services firm. David holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Riverside. Additionally, he maintains a real estate salespersons license in the State of California.
JOE SOUTH, SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Joe South joined St. Regis Properties in 2018, and is responsible for acquisition and disposition of portfolio assets. Prior to St. Regis Properties, Joe was a Project Manager at Signature Development Group, where he was responsible for underwriting development projects and acquisitions, managing projects through various stages of the development cycle, and asset management of core residential and commercial assets in Oakland. Joe is a former Marine Corps Logistics Officer. He holds a Masters in Business Administration with an Interdisciplinary Graduate Certificate in Real Estate from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science in English Literature from the United States Naval Academy.
mary jo lloyd, Controller
Mary Jo Lloyd joined St. Regis Properties in 2015 as Controller, overseeing the financial management of the company including investments, risk management and tax support. Her professional career began at Price Waterhouse, then as a controller for several high net worth family offices before moving on to real estate accounting. Mary Jo earned her B.S. degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from Cal State University, East Bay and holds a Series 65 certificate. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). An accomplished figure skater, born into a skating family that includes coaches, professional skaters and a world renowned champion, she avidly follows the sport and hopes to be a skating judge one day.
JOHN F. ALLEN, CHAIRMAN
John F. Allen was born and raised in an iconic “River City, Iowa” town during the 1950’s, where he was first introduced to the real estate investment industry through working with his father. After graduating from the University of Iowa, and serving the U.S. Army, John attended UC Berkeley Business School to further his professional education. Bringing the Allen Family real estate tradition to California, in the late 1970’s, John made numerous investments in the San Francisco Bay Area. These projects ranged from office to retail spaces, to condominiums and multifamily housing. John served as Chairman of the Board at Dominican University for four years and is responsible for founding the Allen Sports Club, an after school sports program directed towards providing structure, athletic community and an introduction to a college environment for at risk children. John currently sits on the board of the Bay Area Sports Hall Of Fame and the Commonwealth Club of California.
